Do Pakistanis need a visa?
Verified rules for Pakistan passport holders across 52 destinations, grouped by what you need before you fly.
Pakistan passport: the picture at a glance
52 destinations are verified for Pakistanis: 1 visa-free, 2 with a visa on arrival, 11 with an e-visa or electronic travel authorisation to approve before boarding, and 38 that need a visa applied for in advance. The table lists each destination with the rule and the allowed stay; every row opens a one-question page with the verified answer, the official source and what to carry.
Rules are written for ordinary passports and tourism or short business visits. Study, work, family and residence routes have their own requirements on the destination page, and some rules change with your residence permit or a valid visa for a third country; where that applies the destination page says so.

How to read the table
- Visa-free: no visa and no online form; the allowed stay is counted from the entry stamp
- Visa on arrival: issued at the border for a fee, usually in cash or by card; some countries also let you pre-apply online
- E-visa or ETA: applied for online and approved before boarding; airlines check the approval at check-in
- Visa required: a sticker or consulate visa applied for before travel, often with biometrics at a visa application centre

How are these rules verified?
Every rule is checked against the issuing government's own page (immigration authority, ministry of foreign affairs or official e-visa portal) by the Vistolane operations team, dated, and re-checked when the source changes; the latest verification for Pakistan passports is 2026-11-05. Airline and visa-agency summaries are never used as the source.
Travelling on a Pakistani passport: what the verified rules show
Pakistan's passport has limited visa-free access, so the useful entries on this page are the ones that avoid an embassy visit. The Maldives issues a free 30-day visa on arrival to every nationality, Nepal grants SAARC nationals a gratis visa on arrival for 30 days a year, and Qatar admits Pakistani visitors on arrival for up to 30 days with a confirmed hotel booking and return ticket. A second group can be arranged online without a consulate: Kenya's eTA, Sri Lanka's paid ETA, Malaysia's eVISA, Vietnam's e-visa, Thailand's tourist visa through the Thai e-Visa portal, Azerbaijan's ASAN visa, Bahrain's eVisa and Indonesia's tourist e-visa, as well as Australia's and New Zealand's visitor visas, which are applied for online. Turkey's e-visa is open only to holders of a valid Schengen, US, UK or Irish visa.
Everywhere else in the 52-destination table, including the Schengen states, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, the Gulf states, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong, Pakistani passport holders apply in advance with biometrics, proof of funds, employment and ties; Jordan requires prior approval as a restricted nationality and Cambodia and Egypt do not open their e-visas to Pakistani nationals. The destination pages carry the fee, the decision window and the document list for each of those routes.
Each rule here is read from the destination's immigration authority or official e-visa portal and dated. Rules for Pakistani citizens change more often than for most passports and are sometimes suspended at short notice, so the verification date shown on each rule is the figure to check before booking.
